Utility Worker I (two positions)- The City of Black Diamond is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Utility Worker I. The City has two (2) positions open.  Under the direction of the Operations & Maintenance Superintendent this position performs routine manual labor tasks involving cleaning and maintenance of City parks, streets and other areas supported by the Public Works Department.  Please see the full job description at the link below.

The City offers a monthly salary range of $4,223 - $5,132 (DOQ).  Benefits available are:  WA State Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS), medical, dental, vision, deferred compensation, long-term disability, life insurance, EPA, sick leave, vacation leave, holidays; this is a Teamsters Local 117 represented position.

Judicial Specialist II (Part Time) - The City is seeking applicants for the part time (20 hours per week) position of Judicial Specialist II.    Under the direction of the Judge and Court Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical recordkeeping and complex court and administrative duties in support of the Municipal Court and is the intermediate-level position in the Judicial Department.   Please see the below link for the full job description.

Public Works Seasonal Worker - The City is seeking applicants for the position of Public Works Seasonal Worker.  Under direction of the Operations & Maintenance Superintendent, this position performs routine manual labor tasks involving cleaning and maintenance of City parks, streets and other areas supported by the Public Works Department. The city offers an hourly rate of $18 - $21 DOQ.  There are no benefits with this position other than 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.  Accrued sick leave may be used after 90 days of employment.   To apply you must be18 years of age.

Senior Planner - The City is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Planner.  Under the direction of the Community Development Director this position performs a range of advanced professional level urban, land use and environmental planning work.  Work involves activities in support of major planning projects and policy development.  This work requires the application of well-developed written and analytical skills in urban design, land use, code enforcement, transportation, economic development, environmental concerns, and other subjects related to planning.  Please see the below link for the full job description.

Marine Volunteer - Volunteer Opportunity with the Black Diamond Police Department.  Currently the City of Black Diamond Police Department is seeking applications for our Marine Volunteer Program.This program provides assistance and support to the Black Diamond Marine Patrol Unit.  You must be 18 years old to volunteer for the Police Department.  To be considered the City must receive a completed original City of Black Diamond application packet, consisting of a completed City of Black Diamond application and supplemental questionnaire, sent to Commander Brian Martinez at bamartinez@blackdiamondwa.gov.  For questions please contact Commander Martinez at bamartinez@blackdiamondwa.gov or by phone at (360) 851-4450.
