Amber Alert Program

The AMBER Alert Program is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, transportation agencies, and the wireless industry, to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. The goal of an AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and the safe recovery of the child.

 

The National Blue Alert Network 

Washington State is a part of the National Blue Alert Network which supports the use and integration of Blue Alert plans throughout the United States in order rapidly disseminate information to law enforcement agencies, the media and the public to aid in the apprehension of violent criminals who have killed, or seriously injured an officer in the line of duty. Blue Alerts can also be issued when a suspect poses an imminent and credible threat to law enforcement, or when an officer is missing in the line of duty.

Animal Control

Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) provides a 24-hour public safety response to dangerous animals, loose livestock on public roadways, as well as animal injury, and abuse.
