Comp Plan Update Transportation Workshop

Please attend the City’s Multimodal Transportation Workshop for the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm at the Black Diamond Community Gym (25511 Lawson Street). The workshop is open to the public and anyone wanting to learn more or participate is encouraged to attend.

The main purpose of this meeting is to give an overview of changes needed for the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update’s Transportation Element. This includes meeting requirements from state legislation, the Washington Department of Commerce, and the Puget Sound Regional Planning Commission. Multimodal transportation is a term used by transportation planners that considers different modes of travel (like walking, cycling, driving, public transit, etc.) and also connections between those modes. There will also be a discussion on proposed amendments the City received in the years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, specifically related to transportation.

Members of the City Council and/or Planning Commission may be present and there may be a quorum of the Council and/or Planning Commission. Online attendance options will not be provided.
