Leih Mulvihill

Council Member Mulvihill

Twenty-six years ago, while walking my kids to school, then Councilmember Andy Williamson walked down his driveway and welcomed me to Black Diamond. As the kids and I continued on, I turned them and said, "You know what? I love this town!" I've said it so often that as soon as I say, "You know what?" The kids say, "We know, Mom, you love this town!"

I've owned a successful business for 32 years, 19 of those years in this community. I've served as a Director for the Maple Valley Black Diamond Chamber 2001-2008. I founded and directed Miner's Day for three years, 2003-2006. I served on the Planning Commission from 2003-2007 and then the Council from 2008-2012. I served as the Executive Director and Emcee of Black Diamond Labor Days from 1999-2013 and continued to produce the program until 2017. And I've served the Black Diamond Historical Society as Editor for nine years and continue to do so. And you know what? I still love this town!

I like to think of myself as a consensus builder. I want to bring groups together to work for the better of all. I'm a cheerleader, and I'm still rooting for Black Diamond as I continue to work to keep our "Home Town" feel.
