Raised in Northwest Georgia, Therron has been a Black Diamond resident since 2019.  A career opportunity provided him and his family the opportunity to re-locate to the Pacific Northwest, and Black Diamond was the top of the list.  His Bachelor of Arts in History & Political Science is from Shorter College, and his Master of Public Policy is from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.

Black Diamond is a beautiful city with tremendous opportunity before it.  I would like to cultivate those opportunities through neighborly conversations.  Everyone who lives, works, and owns a business in Black Diamond wants the best future for our city.  I am to bring people together, foster and help create solutions as our city grows.  Preserving and improving our historic district, expansion of outdoor recreation opportunities, and improved city infrastructure are just a few of my goals.  All so that Black Diamond can continue to be one of the best small cities for families.’

Therron is an avid camper, with every Washington State and National Park pass hanging from the rearview mirror.  Summer weekends are spent with his girls, hiking, kayaking, and enjoying the beauty of Washington State.  He’s the proud parent of Embrey and Zion, and the husband to Ashley, a fantastic educator at Black Diamond Elementary.  Proud dog dad to a Great Pyrenees named Rudy, and begrudgingly to cats Ruth, Lewis, Al, and Lottie.
