Virtual Hearings

Guidelines for Virtual Hearings

All participants are reminded that you are appearing in a virtual courtroom.  Your demeanor and surroundings should reflect the serious nature of court proceedings.   You must have a good connection and remain attentive during the hearing.  Please make sure you are appropriately dressed and remove your hat.  We ask that you refrain from smoking, drinking, or eating while on camera, and be in a stationary and quiet room without distraction.

Black Diamond Municipal Court conducts all virtual hearings through Zoom.

  • When you enter the virtual courtroom, you will be expected to identify yourself, please be prepared to do so. There may be several cases set on the docket at the same time. Please wait for the clerk or the judge to address you.
  • Your attorney may reach out to you during the virtual hearing and ask you to enter a breakout room. This is a private virtual room where you may discuss your case with your attorney before you go in front of the judge. Please be attentive to your screen to watch for a breakout room pop up.
