PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCIES - POSITIONS #4, #6 AND #7

The City of Black Diamond is seeking applicants for the Planning Commission to fill three (3) upcoming vacancies, Positions #4, #6 and #7, when their terms expire on December 31, 2021. Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.  The term for these positions will end on December 31, 2025.

The Planning Commission consists of seven (7) members.  The Commission prepares and makes recommendations to the City Council on the Comprehensive Plan and various development regulations that guide the physical development of the City. The Commission typically meets once per month on a Tuesday evening but may meet more frequently if needed.

Any individual who has resided in the City for at least one hundred and eighty (180) days each calendar year, or who owns a business with a physical presence within the city who is interested in serving on this important Commission is encouraged to apply. Applications are to be submitted to: City of Black Diamond, Attn: Deputy City Clerk Carina Thornquist, P.O. Box 599, Black Diamond, WA 98010.  To be considered for these positions’ applications need to be received by 4:00 p.m. on October 27, 2021.
